Burnt Script (Hannah &Charlotte)

Aisleigh moves around in the bed tossing and turning but very gradually. She makes sounds as a way of connoting to the audience she is tiered and still a sleep. The sound of the telly can be heard in the background.

Aisleigh is late for work so she rushes to put her top and skirt on. The voiceover can be heard in the background “That’s me getting ready”.

Aisleigh walks through the door and in the direction of the toilets. The voiceover can be heard in the background. “I work several jobs this is my first job of the day.”

Manager-You’re late

Aisleigh- I know I had a rough night (rushes in the direction of the toilet)

Aisleigh comes out with a notepad and pen and approaches customer.

Aisleigh- What can I get you? (The customer begins placing her order and looks at the menu. Aisleigh's narration then begins “I bet this customer doesn’t even know my name. I bet she doesn’t even care that I'm working more then one job and yet I’m still struggling. I bet she wouldn’t even care if I got run over by a car.”)

A car is driving down a road then Aisleigh steps out into the road and the car beeps before driving off.

Aisleigh is on her lunch break and sitting down and eating. Aisleigh’s narration begins “I can’t believe that programme last night changing faces, I hope I don’t look like that when I’m older. Although, Jessica Alba, wow, she doesn’t even need surgery, I bet she’ll still look the same when she’s 75. My mum on the other hand, I can’t even begin to imagine what SHE’LL look like at 75. Disgusting woman... “

Mum is in the kitchen cooking breakfast and the breakfast burns leading the fire alarm to go off. She waves a cloth near the fire alarm to try and prevent it from continuing. She then dishes the breakfast on to the two plates.Aisleigh walks down the stairs really fast as she is in a hurry.

Aisleigh- I’m going out (She bangs the door and her narration begins. “That’s the extent of me and my mum’s relationship.”)

Aisleigh- See you later (Aisleigh walks out of the café and begins looking in her bag for cigarettes. She lights up and cigarette and starts smoking it. She starts to walk down the street then looks at the message on the cigarettes packaging. Aisleigh’s narration begins “Yeah I know, dirty habbit this is, oh well not as if anyone would care if this actually happened to me. Well... apart from Dixie.)

Aisleigh plays with her dog on the bed.

Aisleigh- Dixie Dixie!

Aisleigh continues to play with her dog whilst her narration can be heard in the background. “I had another dog as well, his name was Bertie, and he got run over by a car. He was my first true love.”

Mum opens the door but not fully. She looks around the room in amazement.

Aisleigh- What do you want?

Mum- Don’t be so rude... anyways where did you get all this stuff from? (Looks at labels) How much?

Aisleigh continues to walk down the street where a man whistles at her. The narration begins “I hate men like that, can’t they show a bit of respect. Disgusting fat bastards!”

Aisleigh cuts up images from a magazine whilst the narration begins. “When I get older I want to have one kid, a husband, come to think of it, I want to be just like Jessica Alba. I mean what can I say she’s absolutely stunning, successful and not to mention she’s been in various different blockbuster movies. She’s always on those programmes on E where they talk about whose most stylish in Hollywood. There was this one dress that I saw her in. I can remember it vividly it was...... I saw one just like it in.... a hundred and fifty quid it was.

Aisleigh opens the front door and walks in and takes her shoes and coat of whilst her mother walks to where she is standing and begins talking to her.

Mum- Work run earlier they want to know why you aint been in.

Aisleigh- because the managers a perv!

Mum- Well what do you expect when you walk around like that?

Aisleigh- Well it’s not like you can talk when in the past you’ve looked much worse then me and you’re what... 30 years older then me.

Aisleigh begins to get ready for her night job working in a club. When on her journey in the cab she looks out of the window.

Aisleigh- Where the fuck are my keys? (Looks in bag, bag drops on floor, look’s really upset and frantic)

Aisleigh looks in bathroom cupboard, gets scissors out and stares in the mirror.

Aisleigh lies on the bathroom floor. The narration begins “I pictured my life to be happy and for me to have a good relationship with my mum and to go college rather then working in poxie café and for me to one day to have achieve that Hollywood dream.
